Any got any tips on removing a snapped bolt? The bit where it actually snapped is in the threads so theres nothing sticking out to grab with moleys. Is the only way to drill and re-thread?

genrally , centre punch in the middle and pray to jesus while youre drilling it.. then if youre feeling lucky you could try and easyout but if it snaps in it you will be in a whole world of shit.

drill the bolt in the centre with a small drill bit, try not to hit the threads, then use a slightly bigger torx bit and hit it into the hole uve made, it should grip it then just loosen the torx off like your undoing the bolt first time

I like the sound of Joeseth's idea, I'll give that a shot tomorrow, its only the stud for a exhaust manifold, but don't want to go to the effort off fitting new gasket and then it still blows due to missing a stud/nut. Going to be tight getting a drill in there too!
Going to be fun.

I've done this and haven't yet sorted it!
1 of the bolts for the rear gearbox mount on my B sheared off. Drilled a hole, went in with the easy out (i had soaked the offending bolt for a week in penetrating fluid) and snap! Freaking easy out is now stuck in there flush with the head of the sheared off bolt!

like jed d said weld another bolt onto it and with the new bolt use your spanner or w.e to undo it just make sure its a good weld if its a tight bolt or could snap weld and have to redo it done this trick to many times and works 95% of time
