If anyone wants to try it
Root your phone. Plenty of guides about.
Download this zip - http://minus.com/mKGww7gIl#2
Extract into a folder on your SDcard directory called ubuntu.
Download a terminal emulator, loads in the market.
Then run...
su
cd /sdcard/ubuntu
sh ubuntu.sh
Will most likely give an error then say starting ubuntu this may take a while. just leave it.
VNC in (androidVNC is nice and simple) Localhost, pass:ubuntu, port:5900 24bit colour.

Surely android will do video out over HDMI and you don't bed to run a whole new OS to get that?

d/loading a new image, as my HDMI adapter came today and i've just realised i cant change the resolution so its too big for teh screen.
Sound is not working also, and dosent look like it will be anytime soon which is a bit ghey
