been trying to fit the drive shafts back , but they dont seen to quite be fitting it enough to reach the hub. any ideas?

are the bearings fully seated ?
i think thats the only thing that is likely to be in the way, if you removed the stub axle to replace bearings did you check the new ones against the old ones to meke sure they were the same size internal and external ?

What bearings are you talking about mate? Do you mean CVs? You don't really get a stub axle on the front, it's just part of the outer CV

probably calling it the wrong thing, im talking about the part that goes through the hub and takes the hub nut on the end of it (may all be part of the driveshaft assembly on the corsa) i had a similar on a mk1 fiesta and was down to being supplied a bearing that was very slightly the wrong size, this combined with the part it fitted on being tapered meant the cv was spaced out from the hub

i have fitted a new engine, there is no crown nut or bearing on as of yet. just put the drive shaft through the hub. its exactly the same both sides...

there will be play on the driveshafts, and it will pull in when you do up the crown nut mate
