Got a really annoying knocking sound coming from my engine on induction kit side. Its a 1.4 16v SRi only 4 1/2 months old, only noticed it since i fitted my K&N but there is a knocking noise when idle and pulling away but the faster u pull away it still sounds the same. the induction kit is not banging against anything so what can it be??
Help Appreciated

Might not be the engine mate could be your CV joints on that side, they make a knocking sound, might just be coincidence it started after the K&N was fitted

are you sure the K&N aint knocking again the bonnet?
your cv's will only knock when turning on full lock.
it could be your engine mounts, easy way to test these is to lift the bonnet, start the engine, with the handbrake on, stick it in first & reverse gear, and rock the engine, you will see if there is excess movement

It could be the filter. it did this on mine with my BFO. It was hitting the screw on the wing. Try putting some foam or a cloth underneath the cone to cushion it and take it for a quick drive to see if that solves anything.

Put the original filter back on, if the noise goes.......sorted.
