If its not visually leaking then its burning it - either valve stem oil seals or worn piston rings im affraid...

if your loosing loads of oil u have to STOP redlining it man its going to make it worse!!


which 1.6 engine have you got?
the C16xe and X16xe are highly prone to oil consumtion problems especially when they get to about 60k miles...

the main and best cure is a Full-rebuild, i say Full because once the head is of and engine in bits you may aswell do everything..turns out cheaper than the long run

its done 72k miles and no smoke but i do thrash fuck out of it

had compression test and every things fine there could it be that i red line it every were i go ive dun 10k miles in 4 months
