Can you use the ecu, chip and immobiliser ring and key from an x16xe but with a different engine to the one its from?
I think i may be screwed as im not sure if these are included with an engine im buying. the chap is putting a 2 litre in his corsa will he need a new key and transponder etc for this?

this is one question that baffles me as i had new engine put in my car but i still have the same key, and the engine garage got for me was just the block and loom not ecu/g-box so unsure myself as id like to know

i still use the 1.4 ecu with my 1.6 engine, carl maybe urs is the same

exactly mark so all this need the transponder is load of bullshit IN SOME CASES

you will need the transponder chip and immob ring, ecu
for sure on a x16xe
