right as some of you know i'm transplanting a c16XE into my 1.2 8v.
the airbox from the gsi was squashed when it was crashed....
this is all i have of it
sooo it i just get a new lid off a gsi airbox will it fit onto the bottom half of the airbox off my 1.2 8v....

just go down the scrap yard! I got a spare one from a 1.2 but dont think that it is worth selling tbh as postage would cost more than the airbox is worth!

that would be the easy way...
mate theres about 9 or 10 gsi's in this country.......its hard enough to find a corsa in a scrap yard over here not mention a gsi....
i have a 1.2 airbox..... i need the lid from a corsa GSI....

you could use the lid from ur 1.2 and the intake hose bit from a x16 or x14 i think. I think the afm is a bit furthur up-
but that might be complete bollocks

hmmm i could do that but then i have to go looking for the parts off a x16 or a x14 1.2 8v and 1.0 12v's were the only corsa's marketed over here so parts for anything else all have to come from over there.
might just cut a hole in the lid of the airbox i have and ductape the other bit i have onto it
i'm gonna get some sort of induction kit eventully anyways.....
having said that i'll still pay someone for a lid for a corsa gsi if they have one

I have a spare GSI lid, and air box but its been drilled, think one of the tabs might be craked on lid not sure

so sib, ur getting ready to start the conversion. havent been near dub all week, ripped one of the side skirts off in flood last week so w8ing to put that back on.

your the second person ive heard that done that are they held on with superslue or what
about the conversion... i sent off the engineers report on friday so just waiting for the insurance to confirm things before i pull it appart.
got the engine ready while i was doing nothing obver the weekend.
new water pump, timing belt and new sbd metal idler pulleys......
i have some arp rod bolts here aswell but im gonna put the engine in first so i can get under it.
everything i need appart from the lid of the airbox i have here now

well i still got all the clips, bar 2 i think. but i aint the most mechanially minded person every born (not in the slightest to be truthflu), just gonna get the machanic i bought it off to do it 2nite i hope.

gettin rid of the tapping aint a hard job dude, i done it on my when i re-built my engine, if ya can change a cambelt ya can change the hydraulic valve lifters
