im in the middle or rebuilding ma xe engine and wondering which gearbox to fit for quickest acceleration?
would a f13 from a nova gsi fit the corsa engine?which gearboxes would yous suggest
any comments welcome

oh sorry mate its a c16xe
got the mantzel inlet manifold and
chipped ecu to go with it
full system exhaust
bored out to 1650
head skimmed
lightened and balanced flywheel
looking for gearbox to give it quickest acceleration as ive got a few scores to settle once its back in

^^^ a big block box? use an f13cr or f15cr, available from SRi's or sports or GSi's

F16 is a big block gear box, ya want the CR F15 ya wont be able to tell if its a CR F15 or normal F15 till ya use it though

yeah there was only the F15CR, but didnt say CR on the box...

in an F10/5 or F13WR box. you just have to do some hunting and get lucky.
To actually swap it is a bit of a ball ache, but fun, gearbox out, cluster out, diff out, then all back in again. about a 2-4hr job. But for motorway journeys it makes it over rev at 80ish really so depends what you use it for.
