just been reading opter posts would it not be ok to sand the plastic as smooth as you could then buld you door pod snad everything smooth then just use Grey high build primer?

your gonna need plastic primer either way, id sand then down a bit, but the highbuild will save a lot of hastle

so if i like sand the door poor plasics down build the door pod on the frame prime any plastic parts with plastic primert then do all the pot with high build?

high build primer will only save some work if you use a bloody lot of it. your best bet it to sand the whole thing down with some 80 grit. this also gives the plastic a good key for the fibreglass.
i then build the pods and when i am smoothing these i also smooth the plastic. go through the grades till about 600. then plastic primer and i use some high build on top of that (only because i buy nicer stuff and the plastic primer is halfords crap)
