i need some advice please...
just been to vauxhall who said the right LAMBDA/o2 sensor for my car is this one, and they showed me it, 3 wire WHITE - WHITE - BLACK;



HOWEVER, this is my current one and you can see the connector is different and also the wire colours!! mine has a RED - BLACK - PURPLE;




This is the Connector and Loom in the car, the wire colours here as you can see are; RED/BLUE - BROWN - BLACK thick wire which turns to blue at the connector!

wire colours arent an issue tbh
black grey and white are failry std lambda colours now.

But yes the plug is wrong

i havnt bought it yet, but found the same part on Ebay for less than half of what vaux charge!

ok so is this wire combination ok???


Connector/car loom---------BLUE/RED------BROWN-------BLUE/YELLOW

OLD sensor wiring------------PURPLE-------BLACK-----------RED

NEW sensor wiring------------WHITE--------WHITE----------BLACK

Take a look on http://www.lambdasensor.com/ and check out the wire colour sections and also the cross reference section.Should sort you out

yeah i think ive got the wiring correct according to that website

can anyone else confirm this for me please??
also will it matter which colour wires in my loom the two white ones join to??

anotehr thing how tightly should the sensor be screwed in?? hand or spanner tight??
