I have this old PC on win 98, its got loads of crap and viruses on it, i have the original win 98 cd and a cd with all the drivers. How do i go about wiping it to start again? My freind wants it just to do word processing stuff.

Boot from the 98 cd
select boot computer with cdrom support
commandprompt>format c:
choose yes blah etc wait 10 mins
when finished goto
c:\ then type md win98
then type cd win98
goto e:\ or whatever cd drive is
then type cd win98
then type copy *. * c:
about 70ish files will copy across, once thats done, goto c:\
on c:\win98 type in SETUP
go through all the setup etc, and then call me up when u need a special code
