I recently bought a cheap Dell PC, with a Celeron m/b & processor & it came with 256MB ram...
I have been offered 3 x 256MB ram chips for cheap & wondered if it would make much difference to the performance of the PC?? (Provided its got 4 slots)
Anyone know?

It would make a huge difference, if it will fit.

Like Cybermonkey said, make sure its the right type (such as DDR, SD etc) and it has to match the speed of your current RAM, or you'll just slow the system down even more.
