is it simple as downloading it and installing it?! Need it to play on age of empires 3. On 2000 at the minute.

Download, burn the CD, launch the CD from within Windows 2000 and select Upgrade. Simple as.

Usually, if not they're not hard to find on the 'net. Make sure you get the correct key for the correct edition though, aswell as Home and Pro there'll be Retail, VLK and OEM versions of both, and possibly even a Pro "Corporate" edition.

VLK is the corporate edition.
If you have xp pro its the key you enter that decides whether its corporate or not.
And i'd note this all down because this thread won't be here for long.

xp media center edition, what will that be?
My relative bought it for my birthday but he is far away so only way i can get it is if he hosts it on his server and i then download it, totally above board.

EIther a Pro or MCE key, IIRC. If he bought it, then he'll have the serial

MCE is just an add on ontop of windows.

Nope. It's only supplied OEM because it has stricter hardware requirements than Windows does normally.

It only works with tuners with onboard mpeg2 hardware.
