i have sum footwell neons, and i managed to wire them up 2 the battery, but the wires wernt long enough and ive been told they must be wired to back on the cigarette lighter, i have no idea how to do this but ive heard it involves soldering and earthing or somthing....i havent got a clue, any help??? i have a saxo if that helps...

why the cigarette lighter??
why not just take a fed off the back of your fuse box put a switch init then just earth it to the body job done

i had mine wired to the back of the fag lighter, i unplugged it and wrapped the wires around the pins, then plugged it back in. its not the best thing to do but mine was like that for months and it was fine for me

whats the prob with that? the wire was under the plastic and none was showing? if i soldered it it wouldnt of been any different, the fag lighter wernt plugged in either. there wer no problems for 8months......
ther not in now tho, i got sick of them lol

take a feed of your lights so that your neons only come on with your lights.

i took a feed off of my roof interior light so everytime i open me doors they come on and they are on the pull out switch.

i disconnected my fag lighter (took wires out the back) and used them with a rocker switch... was fine until neons broke (dunno why, they weren't cheap max flower ones)
