Hi, today I was moving along with my car when all of a sudden a strange noise started coming from the engine. It is like a tappeting (tap tap tap) noise which increases a lot as I rev the engine. During idle it can also be heard. Put the car in the garage, opened the bonnet and found that it is coming from the top part of the engine (from under the cover). What could this be? Need help please.
