I've been offered a cheap Nova GSi (C16SE) engine complete with loom, ECU, geabox etc for a reasonable price, I was just wondering what would be involved in sticking it in a Corsa B? Has anyone done it before?
I presume it could be mounted using the SRi 8v engine mounts as its a near identical engine?
I just fancy sticking it in a Corsa B on T40s, should be quick enough and remain light and still handle really well?

Sounds like a backward step to me, why not do it to a Nova?

you thought right, the mounts are the same, the gearbox is the same, all you'd need is a Nova GSi ECU, and an injection model corsa.
and an MPI fuel pump if its not an mpi car already.

Sounds good then, engine comes with loom, ecu and gearbox so I should have everything I need.
I bought a load of bits to go a valver conversion a few months back, so I have a MPi fuel pump etc waiting.
Jobs on then, thanks everyone

although, as you've said about carbs, you probably don't even need an MPI pump

I'll run it as injection for a few months first, then fork out for some T40s. What kind of power should that be good for? I'd get a decent exhaust manifold and not use a cat etc. 135bhp?
