My room hadn't been decorated for about 8 years (when I thought having a yellow bedroom was a good idea ), so I thought it was about time to do it.
Here's what it looked like before -
so, I took everything out of the room, to get started on it -
Since then, I've painted over all the walls twice with Magnolia, to cover the yellow and the wallpaper, and painted 2 coats on 2 walls and the ceiling, as well as 1 coat on the other 2 walls.
New Furniture sill be here tomorrow, and is a bit less dated than the stuff I had.
Then I need to decide on a floor covering, and get that done before putting the furniture in.
Also, I'm laying speaker cable under the floor, so i can have the speakers where I want them, without having to trail cables accross the floor, as well as fitting a decent Aerial socket, and a phone socket for the xbox.
more pics to follow as and when I get round to doing stuff, but I have a feeling it's gonna take a while, because of the floor, and the wallpaper dilemna

yeah, I know people say its a bad idea in a bedroom, but the spare room (which I'm currently sleeping in) has a wooden floor, and its fine.
Not sure what colour to go for though, I'll see what I think when the furniture gets here.

my mate has a cushion vinly style flooring, looks like wood from a distance but feels real soft when you walk on it.

I have a load of light bluey grey laminate flooring in the loft that I never got round to putting down.
If you get wood just cover it up with a rug.
I mean a wood floor btw.

its not a very big room, so the floorspace will only be about 1.5m square. a rug should cover most of it.
but tbh, I dont make much noise in my room anyway

the cabinets have gone (nephew had them)
I've ordered;
Bed,
2 door wardrobe,
5 drawer chest,
3 drawer bedside chest,
8 drawer desk thing.
the desk won't be here til november the 9th though
I'm also gonna get some CD racks for the walls, no need for anything else on the walls.

You'll have to get some pics up when you're in
Yellow is an absolute arse to cover. it took 4 coats in one of the colours
