Im on a LAN at home with my other housemates and we all have stuff shared.
Is there a way to share folders with only certain people? Any software to do it?

password protect the folder, and only tell that person

You could create user accounts on the PC for each of your mates and then set the permissions on each folder. Just turn off simple file sharing and then right click properties and remove all the inherited groups, then just add the users that you want to give access to. You can set things like read only etc.
They'll need to put a user name and password in the first time they access the share but they can just save that so they dont need to the next time
