I want to get rid of the rusty look on the drums and just need a wire brush etc but can you just buy a paint that goes onto the drum instead of the kit which is bout £24 when i just want the paint really.

I used hammerite mate.Never been a problem either.

I went satin black mate which gives a great matt finish and the hammerite does last very well indeed.Go for the tin you brush on and get a decent brush so not to leave brush marks.
