this is a very strong CPU only cost me $50. It has been overclocked to 2.25GHZ, and its stable as hell. in fact, according to sandra, its just as quick as an FX51

Asrock K7S41GX
AMD Athlon 2800XP @ 2.25GHz
1GB DDR RAM
Nvidia Geforce 760GS AGP

This is my 3DMark03 result on standard 400/800mhz clock speed on the grapics card



this is with 450/900mhz clock and memory speeds




it might be getting on a bit now, but my system still kicks ass

How did you overclock it? Tempted to tweak mine a bit as I've heard they respond pretty well to it.
I have a Skt939 AMD Athlon64 3800+

i have left the multiplier alone for now, because its stable by increasing the FSB up from 166 to 180mhz

the bios is what you can enter when you swithc on the PC, usually by pressing f1 or f2 or del

I know that!
It also stands for Basic Input Output System I believe

But I'm not sure what I should be looking for to change in my BIOS

all depends on your bios, just haev anosey round for options to adjust the clock speed

Cricky you're quick on the replys today!

So just the clock speed? nothing else to do? I have a fapping great Thermaltake adjustable speed fan on the CPU and it's in a Thermaltake case so cooling shouldn't be a issue - just don't wanna burger it up!
