((((No arguments i cant be bothered ))))
Right been on diagnostic machine
main error it threw up was dizzy aka hall sensor
supplyed them with a new dizzy with hall sensor which they are fitting tomorow
Hes hoping with loss of power etc that this will solve it if not next is crank sensor?? as they work side by side....
Then looking at seal around power cap and all hoses for an air leak
Anyone seen a dizzy make a car run really bad?

My dizzy thingy went changed it runs A1 again.
When it was going the EM light would come on as and when it pleased. I also found that between 2500rpm and 3500rpm it would really struggle to pull it would then be normal have 3500rpm.
How do you stop it from running lean? Does it stick of petrol whenever you start it up?

It would start no problem, drive a little lumpy sometimes, also when it was on tick over it would sit just above 750rpm and sound like it was going to stall but never did.

plus it was cheaper to get a new dizzy with one in and whip that on then buy hall sensor and get it wired through dizzy isnt in good shape so changed the lot was cheap enough to buy

Check the bolts on the powercap are tight. My SFI box on my old 2.0 16v wasnt tight enough and had a slight air leak.

so possibly gasket could of gone would run like crap if so when warming up expands has better seal?
i know it obviously is only air but general engine heat would warm it a bit?

possibly.
See if the hall sensor/dizzy sorts the prob out and go from there.
Hopefully the hall sensor will cure it

well been down
dizzy fitted
new gasket to power cap fitted
aaaaaaaand still runs shit
he said its to do with the fueling also said id fail mot becuase i dont have a cat and its a 99 and it should have i had to explain should be tested by engine not car so he said he would ask,,,,,,,GOOD SIGN i think not
so had it on diagnostic again checked afm and icv etc etc lambda all working perfect but hes checked for air leaks and cant find any and he took air cone off and sprayed carb cleaner down and he said it idled fine so he knows its a fuel problem????????
