anything like this excist yet? 5.1 surround with small speakers would be ace

YES. Logitech do a wireles version of the Z5500 which I have. I think the wireless version is called the Z5450 (I think)

ooo... quite cheap too @ £176. this is for connection to tv though not pc. will that be okay to hook upto a normal dvd player?

I have mine hooked upto my TV ATM because I havent got a DVD player in my room and it works fine

oh just been reading reviews... and its only the two rear speakers which are wireless and they both have mains plugs! so not really what i was after. cheers anyway
