Been out 4 a few hours 2nite, twice iv noticed, when shifting from 2nd to 3rd its popped loudly, like a misfire. only done it twice but its worrying any ideas what it coud be? A piston maybe??

Do you have an aftermarket exhaust/back box etc?

Nope only a drilled airbox thats it. Only said piston coz i havnt gota clue n my mate sed it cud be a piston (he was drunk lol) its got 105000 miles on the clock aswel

The popping is definitely coming from the engine bay aswel its not coming out the backbox. Its never done it before 2nite

i had popping noises before but it was just when the car was idling. turns out it was the mass air flow meter sensor.

If the car is overfueling then you will more than likely get the odd popping noise from the exhaust on gearchanges or when at high revs.
Check you havent got any exhaust blows around the manifold

sounds like the exhaust is blowing, its a standard exhaust but just started to pop and rumble a little bit on deceleration

Check the exhaust manifold to see if there is a blow. Sort it out if there is one and then see if it pops again
