ive heard this changes the noise of a car a fair bit?
not planning on it, just for referance...

and is it worth it?

well any car i was thinking! surely the noise would change a bit as it depends on the flow doesn't it...

seems quite a popular mod on the vts or 106 gti lump

rub away at it with a polishing bit (dremel or similar) for nice an smooth airflow.
I fitted an enlarged throttle body on my rover no change to sound but more throttle responce i found
