Right the other night i managed to downloaded a virus.
Virus software found it and deleted it problem solved well no not quite.
At the same time a little icon was placed in the light blue box where the date is (xp sp2) the icon flashes between a blue circle with a white question mark and a red circle with a \ through it (like a no stopping/urban clearway).
Every so often the taskbar will flash up (i usually have it on autohide) and i have to click on the symbol for it to go. Clicking on it brings up www.spylocked.com.
Now I have done a search for the date i got the virus and it brought up several files on the computer one was a spylocked set up file so i deleted that but i still cannot get rid of this symbol.
Any ideas?

have you tried a system restore then check your startup folder make sure its not hiding in there.
