The PC runs fine but will often freeze when playing mp3's. Its not just one program its anything. I think the problem might be something to do with the soundcard drivers as there are two soundcards. The one that I am using is all ok, but there is a built-in soundcard on the motherboard which is not showing up as being installed. I do not have a clue what make it is or anything, so cant download the drivers for it!?
Any ideas of what could be causing this?

make sure the onboard sound is disabled in the BIOS settings and update the drivers on your active card

Depends on your motherboard
usually...
when u first turn the PC on, keep hitting the delete key to get to the bios setup. the onboard audio will be under the settings somewhere
