I have been asked many times how i have routed the cold air feed to my K&N.....you've worn me down i've caved in and taken some photos!!
I have an easier job than most as i have a Irmy front air dam with a lower grill but i'm sure if you had the tubing just below the lip of the bumper it would be very similar!
please enjoy these photos, hope it all makes sense!!
Just a quick shot of my front grill (bonnet is open yes!)

the other end of the feed is at the K&N
looking forward we see this sort of view
closer view(note the grill can be seen in these shots)
just as a final shot we can see the cold feed running along side the radiator from the grill upto the filter

think the cold air feed needs to be closer to the air filter?
p.s. standard corsa bumper has a lower grille so sin't much of an advantage
you can see my cold air feed coming from the front grille to the air filter.

1) the cold air feed i fitted match the instructions with the K&N filter. iirc stated no closer than 4inches, the pipe was oversized and so needed some simple cutting to get it to fit but i just followed the instructions. your kit may very well be different

i admit the same format may not be ideal, but if you positioned it to appear under the bottom lip of the bumper is as good as the same.

yeah i read that bit after i posted and couldn't be bothered to edit because i'm lazy you see 
i used to have my cold air feed positioned further away like your's but i kept getting terrible flat spots due to heatsoak etc so positioned it about an inch away from the air filter and now it's fine

heat soak will be because you've used an open filter no matter how good your air feed is imo

Pete - is any of the cold air feed touching the radiator pipes? I thought of rooting one like that, but was concerned about it touching hot pipes.
Also, what did you use?

Deano - to my knowledge i dont believe the feed is impeded by any rad pipes.
everything used for installation was in the K&N 57i box with the exception of a knife to cut the cold feed tube to length!

nice work fonz, dont know why people on here are being a bit nasty about it, i think its more the point that fonz's doesnt stick out from the roof and is v subtle, good guide on a job done properly

imo i think the suction required to pull water up that feed and into the filter would have to be immence due to the distance between feed and induction kit and the diameter of the feed tube!!
i could very well be wrong though!

granted but thats his decision, i think whatever fonz decides to do is up to him, he was merely showing how he did it so others who may choose to do the same have a rough idea

It isnt, becasue we are all here because we share a hobbie in modding cars. Weather they be 1.0 Corsa's or track prepeared Skylines.
If it makes him happy then leave him to it.

it does suckup water in that position.i took mine to jaguar to have some workdone and he had to drain the filter itself because it was suckin up shit loads of water

I know someone that killed a Rover 220d by driving through a ford with an air intake in that position. But, his was linked directly to the air box.

Ermmm. I just thought last night. If this sucks up loads of water and what not, what about cars that have their air intake in the fog light whole, or indeed an E46 M3 for example, which is down near the front fog as standard?

I dunno, but I personally would never have one where. My ibiza air feed is at the top of the engine bay, as was the corsa's and clios?
