i assume they would have to be converted into itunes some way or other, so yer mp4.

Just wondering if its possible to convert dvds etc into mp4 to put on it

you can convert dvds into mp4. my mate had one of the fast and the furious films on his mobile. theres free software on http://www.download.com but ive never done it so dont ask me

mp4 or avi works well on my zen vision pretty much the same thing as a ipod video

Right i got one in the end. Anyone know of the best place to aquire an MP4 converting program?

Cant find any that will convert more then 2 mins of video unless you buy the full version

i use Videora Ipod Converter on my video ipod, works well and pretty simple to use

I have on mate, listen to music watch vides etc etc... they are very easy to put on but make sure you convert them for example download a free converter as Dom said....
