Not loving:
Unlike the 360 you can't access your Friends list midgame. If you can then I've yet to find out how.
You can't read messages midgame either, same as above really.
Am loving:
Dead quiet.
The online stuff is free, so I can play online for nothing unlike the 360.
The controllers are light, unlike the heavy 360 pads.
It seems to load quicker with less loading screens.
It boots up faster.
Blu-Ray films are immense!

the loading thing wont be true, as half the reason its quieter than the 360 is it spin up to 1/3 of the speed or something, the end result is a quieter drive but slower loading times

Thats because that particular game is a luanch title, not a very good one at that.
I'd not base your opinion on one game either.

Both my consoles lay flat too. Although not so much the 360 as that's in a UPS warehouse waiting for repair.

It may spin up slower, but that's doesn't mean Bluray transfer speeds are lower than DVD

a wee article
http://www.joystiq.com/2006/09/04/ps3-to-load-games-slower-than-the-xbox-360/
quote: "Admittedly, Blu-Ray looks dicey from several non-capacity angles. Blu-Ray movies require a 1.5x Blu-Ray drive, or 54Mbits/second. Sony announced that PS3 uses a 2x BD drive, which is 72Mbits/second or 9MB/second. The Xbox 360 uses a 12x DVD, which should give it about 16MB/second. That is significantly faster for games and will result in shorter load times. And that 12x DVD drive should be a whole lot cheaper. (Note that the PS3 drive will do 8x DVD, and even that is faster than 2x BD.)"

Yeah but that's 16Mb *peak* transfer as DVD drives are CAV. The Blu-ray drives can achieve speed over the whole disk, plus I thought Sony was now starting to ship PS3's with 4x blu-ray which blows that out the water.
Whatever you're getting more data for less noise, which a more consistent transfer speed over the disk.
That's only going on the max bitrates though -- some games may have been badly laid out on the disks which cause the seek times to really start affect loading

I just use my phone bluetooth one.
Socom/Logitech USB headsets all work though if you don't have a BT one lying around.
