Everytime I open it, it displays photos as tiles but I want it to permanently display them as Thumbnails. How do I stop it from changing the view back everything I close and open it again?

Folder Options
View

Then hit 'Apply to all folders'. Make sure you have it in the order you want first before pressing 'Apply...'
