u wont find a 60gb anywhere mate. i settled for a 40gb, difference is that the 40gb obviously has 20gb less, less USB ports and wont play PS2 games on it... nothing too major tbh mate

Ah that'll be why I cant find them. Does it still have the wifi option on it? And also sorry to sound retarded but what is the 40gb actually for? I know its memory so I assume its jus for game saving etc???

Cool. Cheers barnshaw and steve. Are there any games you'd reccommend? I know on here there is alot of hype over COD4. But are there any other good ones?

haha. Brilliant sounds good. I'm looking at getting either a 32' samsung, for £499, or a sony bravia 40' for £600?? I know that the samsung has the 'gamer mode' but is there any real difference? And do i need an lcd tv to experience the ps3 fully?

im playing the ps3 on a CRT without HDMi and its still amazing. The samsung ame mode is over rated and you can get the same effects by playing around with the settings on any LCD tv. Cant go wring with a Sony tho tbh

Yeah i think the sony is the better option. Plus I can get some discount off the ones they are selling in Sainsburys. So would bring it down to about £500 i think. Which is a bloody good price.

I want one but the games look dull, expensive, and lack of ps2 compatibility is shit as alot of my favorite console games are on the ps2

I gave my ps2 to my cousin a few years back She gets annoyed when I steal it back for a while.
Id prefer a ps3 anyday, but its the expenses that have to be justified.. Reason why ive not connected my xbox up to the network because they want over 50 quid for the fucking adaptor, i dont even want the internet on it, i just want to use it as a media point

I have the 60gb one but TBH mate the 40gb is more than enough to save games
Only other real differences are 2 less USB ports and the 40gb ones dont have the XD and SD ports etc which I've never even used
Go buy one with COD4 and get yourself online
LCD TV will make the most out of the PS3 too. Make sure you use a HDMI lead
