litterlly in a day many things have just gone wrong, can anyone shed light as to the possible problems..

1. temp gauge stopped working
2. only getting cold air out heaters
3. car almost cutting out when revving when its warming up (sounds like its gulping in air)
4. when driving sounded like water sloshing, checked the coolent and no leaks/overflow, just alot of steam when i opened the pressure cap

its a 1.4 sport 1996, all was ok a couple of days ago..

should i just take it to a garage and get them to sort it, or is it easy enough to fix?

thanks for your help.

1. Temp guage will probably be a wire, or sender is fooked.
2. Maybe water pump has gone, hence no circulation
3. Not sure.....
4. It's gettign bloody hot.

I'd say water pump has gone, or headgasket has gone.

Can't be sure without looking at it.

Could just be an air lock, try bleeding the cooling system first

Forgot bout that

Do a search for airlock, it's been covered dozens of times. Do this first see if it sorts itself out.

Your coolent temp sensor is not functioning for whatever reason which will mean that your car won't idle or run properly cold because the ECU doesn't know the temperature of the engine.

Check your thermostat and try draining the coolent from the bottom hose on the rad and refil when the enigne is warm so the thermostat is open when you fill up to prevent any air locks - though the coolent system is a Corsa is self bleeding, but it only works if the thermostat works and water can get in and out of the radiator
