can't really see it getting anyone fit that 'wii-fit'.

I find it hilarious that people think Wii's are getting people active and fit, you get more exercise walking to the shops

Thats far from true, you spend a few hours on once on certain games and you are nackard afterwards.

yes PMSL If you are feeling like you've had a work out after playing wii sports, I suggest you need to actually get fit.

Nothing compared to going down the Gym.

If you look at what the equation is for 'Work Done', as in using energy, it's generally Force * Distance moved... So the heavier the object and the more you move it, the more energy you use.

Running or Cycling you are moving large weights a lot, pushing a lot of force, over a long distance (each stride or so).

A wii, you're waving a super light wii mote about, i can't really see the comparison. I'd like to see anyone lose weight or get slightly fit by solely using a Wii.

Kerry, I wasn't aiming that at you, I was just stating in general it pisses me off / makes me laugh that in the press everywhere, Wii's are being classed as a great way to get active and get fit

I'd imagine the feeling of being 'knackered' after playing that, is more the mental drain and feeling of 'being on edge' throughout play, rather than once again excercise. Probably more likely to give you a heart attack due to raising your bloody pressure and heart beat

most of it is upper movement, but after playing some games for hours on end my arms are dead the same as when im at the gym for a few hours!

the Wii does excerise upper body muscle groups and im sure that Wiifit will excersise more than just upper body muscles,

anyone care to prove to me that a few hours worth of wii has no physical excersise on the body then im more than willing to belive them, providing they can prove it to me.

No i'm saying that paul has decided that you don't know when your knackered and you can't be from playing the wii.

What you have to do to be knackered is get your calculator out and get a high enough answer in the equation.
