Do you have all your intake pipes on and no leaks? unplug your afm and see if it runs better

yeh all intake pipes are on.they all seem to be sealed pretty well.just changed icv and pipe,spark plug's,fuel filter.

Thats how my LET ran with a duff air flow meter, ran normally with it disconnected so give it a try

just tried it and it still idles pretty low and tried to cut out but if you rev it up above 2.5 k it will rev ok and won't splutter.did yours idle ok ?

Yeah I couldnt really tell anythin was wrong when I unplugged the AFM other than the EM light was on. Have you had the distributer off and had a look in there? all the leads in good condition?

You did unplug the AFM before sturning the ignition on didnt you? then the ECU recognises thats its not there and ignores any signals from it

yeh i unplugged it before i ran it.all leads and plugs are ok.havn't had the dizzy off bu it was fine on the red top.it still idled crap but at least it would rev where as with the afm plugged in it wouldn't.also noticed sometimes when i'm starting it the rev counter goes up even when it's not running??

my rev counter will go to about 3k if i turn it over on the starter for a while if the engine cant start (forgot to plug the fuel pump back in the other day)

are there any splits or kinks in the pipe going to the ECU? Has this just been converted or has it been running in this car and all of a sudden the problem has come up?

just been converted.no splits or kinks in that vac pipe.it was full of oil the other day but i cleaned it out and let the oil drain out of he ecu.just been out to move it and it dies everytime you take your foot off the accelrator.

fixed now.put a new afm on and it run's fine.
