went to fill up my corsa a few months back and the pump at the petrol station kept clicking off...so have ended up constantly pressing the trigger gently (about 1 litre of fuel takes 4/5 secs lol)...Starting to piss me off now...Guessing its pressure in the tank tricking the cut off on the pump to think the tanks full up???

What can i do to sort it out?

Anyone else had same problem with any car n how u fix it?

Got this problem on both my dads 97 corsa and my 97 corsa, i just hold the filler half way out, seems to be ok then but take caution just incase mind!

Is it an easy fix if the filler neck is blocked etc? Whats best way around it?

theres a green valve at the top of the fillerneck (to stop you putting the derv nozzle in) which breaks off and lodges itself halfway down the neck.

this is the usual cause

Had this problem on mine but turned out to be a section of the filler neck had broken away and fallen down the pipe and so would float to the top when I filled up.

I tried to fish it out with a coathanger and torch but managed to break it into two smaller pieces. But it's cured the problem, so get the ol' torch and coathanger out
