Looks nice!

How did he lay it, glued to the concrete floor? Glued around the eges only?

Looking at doing this myself, but reluctant to as i dont think you glue every piece you lay when doing oak flooring? BUT at the same time really worried about expansion and contaction and nasty looking gaps when it might shrink.....

Hi, he used a layer of polythene on the bare floor, then a layer of sponge that has an sticky side, as each tie he put a length of wood down he pulled the film off the sponge layer so it sticks to the wood floor. I think he only glued each length on the ends.

also all the skirting is off and he could leave the right gaps on the edges. he also cuts the bottom off the door frames so the wood slips under them/.

does that help you make a decision?
