are harneses ok for an mot or do you still have to have the seat belt there? and if there are no rear seats i take it you don't have to have rear seat belts?

harnesses if hooked up proper are fine, and without backseats you won't need seatbelts.

If you have no rear seats, make sure you take out the rear seatbelts, otherwise they will fail you for having an unsafe seat or some other crap like that

ok so if the harnes is bolted to the rear seat belt holes and the rears are out then everything if all good

depends on the clasp on the harnesses. if normal buckle they are fine, if they are multi lock it will fail as they have to be regular buckles for safety reasons

The multi lock type ones are usually described as "air-craft catch/buckle"

You need the standard car/clip buckle

standard belts have to be out of the front too

the belts can be left in they wont fail the mot if left in the back and you have no seats

there not classed as a seat belt if there is no seat
