Just curious if the doorcards/trim from a 3 door would fit the front doors on a 5 door.

um no, have a look at a pic of each and you should see why, slight difference with the door length

3dr doors are far bigger to allow access to the back of the car

I have an early 5 door GLS, the interior is pretty boring and the front seats un-comfortable on a long journey, do any of the 5 door models have a nicer interior I could fit ?

Duck; You could try and find a leather interior out from a CDX =] Rare as though, i found one when i had my corsa sport but then realised i need flippy forward front seats =[
