ok, ive finally got a PS3 and GT5... so im going to start all the questions again 
i just wondered if anyone fancies a challenge...
I.E like the forza one.. but for GT5..
ive been playing on suzuka east course with the nissan gt-r and managed 19th overall place online, but thats on professional with no aids.. bit tricky

yup.. you got me thinking,, only this way you can see your friends as they get better.. im the 3rd fastest britian on the track with that car lol

the cool thing is tho is hwen your online you jsut select arcade, track then the car your using and go time trail..
get you best lap and it uploads on exit of that session..
then you can see it in the ranks page..
mine is 19th - ChrisR1984
make sure you select 'Professional' on teh right tho.
you can also download my ghost lap to see where yourcan improve.

Chris are you sure you're in the top 20 with the Nissan GT-R? Looking at the rankings, the only Brit in the top 50 on Suzuka is "JohnnyDangerous". There's only 3 others in the top 100 and none of them are called ChrisR1984 lol. I'm looking on professional too.
I've yet to set a decent time. Just getting used to the track as I usually go on Eiger Nordwand or London.

Marc, you go into arcade and then time trial.
We're not going into the online mode for this competition. We're using arcade. It's the same thing really except there is no time limit on it and you can use any car on any track. (But we're using the Nissan GT-R on Suzuka )

Oh yeah so he did. I thought he just meant the standard Suzuka. Ignore me then.  I don't know where to find the East course. I don't think I've even ever raced on Suzuka East

now then guys,
just to confirm to everyone..
Click Arcade, scroll to Suzuka, press down arrow then join..

Track : Suzuka East Course
Car : Nissan GT-R
Aids Allowed : Nothing but ABS
once you have set your driving parameters just on to start or load a ghost car then do some laps, i suggest making the connection wired tho as i did some fast laps then PSN kicked me out so i couldnt save them.
You can even save then load my ghost car time if you want.. they are about 100kb so only very small.
Im now 15th place on that combo and 1009th overall.

Ahh I see. I knew you could change the tracks and reverse them etc but I wasn't sure how. I'll have a blast now. I got 2 mins 17.9 on the normal Suzuka.

i think you might be able to use mild or strong active steering with it being on Professional.. i turn mine off but i guess its not that important really.
it actually helped turn in on the car as without the aids the car is quite understeery , this just helps kick the back end out with it being more 'unstable'

Good tip. I prefer active steering on strong myself. Also another good tip is to use the right analog to accelerate rather than the 'X' button. It makes it much easier to apply small amounts of throttle and to adjust it accordingly. Much better when the TC is off. I find with the 'X' button, the accelerator is either ON / OFF, there's not much in between.
