hi people, got a problem with my mums mk4 astra, the revs on idle keep dropping down to about 100rpm, then they bounce back up to like 800rpm and just continue to do this and quite often cuts out, i have tried a new maf sensor, this didnt work.

anybody have any idea what this could be?

well i also got advised that it could be the throttle position sensor, but when i purchased this from gsf, it came up as a cam sensor. then the garage quoted me for a complete throttle body, surely that cant be correct??

tried tech 2 to see if it fetches anything up, may not if engine managment light hasnt come on though, try AON or AOC for advise (astra based websites)
