about a grand cheapest(still i doubt that), you'll need to uprate alot of the engine just to handle that amount of extra power etc! ..

if its an actual supercharger, you'll need to do the above, if it's one of them eletrical ones, chuck it in the bin!

Any thing is possible if you input money plenty of bikes e.g R 1,s busas have had this done but engine has to be upgraded in all cases, take the mini cooper bmw started with a charger now I think they have moved over to turbo, it would be a great project to do, I would love to see a end result.

Ignore everything posted on here thus far. Everything.
It depends on what you want, what you are using and what you hope to achieve. Too many people hear big words like 'supercharger and turbo charger' and get carried away with steel rods and other bollocks.
You will get many people telling you bollocks, thats life. Look at people who have at least done tuning on turbo's rather than kids cutting out their free CorsaSport membership from the back of the Crispies box.
It is my intended Christmas project funnily enough!

what you will need to do is lower the compression by using low compression piston or 2 headgaskets and a spacer plate. You will ideally need an intercooler to reduce the intake temps so hopefully stopping detonation. you will need aftermarket management and probably larger injectors too probably c20xe ones will do.

thought about it a few times. trouble on a 16v is the room to fit the charger

easy peasy job to be fair.
supercharging is big on the PSA scene in 106/saxo's
just start with a decent charger.
Rotrex or such like nice and compact and effient.
many saxo/106's running 200bhp on standard internals. some just running 5th/6th injectors on piggy back also.

Management will be a problem when you come to supercharge it, the standard setup just wont do IMO
Then theres the compression ratio, no need to drop it for moderate boost pressures but get serious with the boost and you will need lower compression pistons
An intercooler would also help but again is not essential for low boost applications.
Water injection is an excellent way to prevent detonation without needing to use low compression, what power are you looking for and what supercharger is it?

Decent management.....£1000
Lower comp pistons......£500....plus fitting if need be.
Intercooler...................£200ish???
Engine swap tbh.

you dont necesarly need a standalone you could always use an mf2 and a sigcon if you are wanting a budget system
