Hey, you may remember i was on about my EML coming on at a certain speed/revs in third gear and like the engine was loosing power then cleared. Well someone suggested it was the AFM. My cousin had a spare one and let me try it and it solved the problem. Bargain at a fiver as someone mentioned their £75? Anyway i seem to have a further problem. It still does the similar thing, kind of, it holds back.. now as long as before, then its like a boost and wants to go fast. Its like a turbo. I only have a 1.2 16V car. Is this normal ? Or is there another problem? I was thinking it could be the ECU needing reset as the AFM was new. Any suggestions/ideas/answers appreciated!

Is it a genuine Bosch GM AFM?

Because you can get cheapo ones which are usually less use that the 'nackered' one you tok off.

It will say Bosch on it somewhere.
You can just about see it on this one in the middle there it says 'BOSCH' (i thought i had a better pic of it)

Yeah i can see it on my old one. Ill have a check tomorrow when its light. Only other thing its the wrong way round? but i don't think it is lol

It has an arrow on it for air flow too, give it a check

I had this in my saxo.
Sluggish to 2k - Like it was turbo'd massively to 4500 and then cut out.

Idle control Valve!

Yeah its genuine. I've not had the problem to me this morning. I'll see later on when i go to work
