Hi all,

Does anyone have trouble playing this game at times on the PS2? Disc error and such?

I first bought it and seemed to run ok, but sometimes in game after completing a race, the loading bar would turn red and i'd have to restart.

Since then the game won't even load so i got it cleaned and still didn't work, i even bought another 2nd have one and the same prob.

In the manual it says that PS2 series 3000 and 5000 should have the settings checked or something.

Anyone know anything about it???

my mate had the same problem a while ago, he ended up buying a new copy of the game which then worked fine, and has since.

Mine used to work fine - using a 2nd hand PS2 and 2nd hand GT4 Try running a lens cleaner disc in it

Mine copy did that on my PS2, had to buy another copy as the first was badly scratched. The PS3 plays them no problems tho - so long as its backwards compatible!

Mines done that, I took it to the shop to get it cleaned and he told me that GT4 is known for not working properly on PS2's. But after the clean it worked perfectly

Ah that's a though as GT4 uses the auto load thing doesn't it? Try that tonight cheers for that

Also, do computer stores tend to do PS2 lense cleaning services? Or is it easy enough to do it yourself? Considering warranty has likely expired
