The CD player in the corsa wont turn on, although it will show the time if you press the 'dispay' button.
All that there is to plug in is the ISO block and the aerial - which ive plugged in.
I put my old cd player in but that did the same thing, it just said 'see you' and turned off straight away, it wont stay on at all
Im useless with electrocincs i hate them so any advice would be great.
Thanks

try swopping the red and yellow, although you'd usually get different symptons if the red and yellow was the wrong way around. Also what cd unit.

Fuse isnt blown. Check them all over as wasnt sure which one it was totally, but nonetheless there wasnt any blown.
So i had a little look around and just tried swapping the red and yellow wires that run from the cd player into the iso block. But that made no difference what so ever to the state of it - it just didnt work at all then
Any ideas, im totally stumped and hate ICE.

if your fuse isnt blown then id guess a problem with the wiring as you have said its doing it with more than 1 radio.
there is a simple way around it (will make life alot easier if you have a mulitmeter or other type of tester) take a power from your sig lighter and put it into the ignition live (at a guess go with the yellow, but can be yellow or red) of your wiring of your stereo

have you tried switching it on and off?
I got a convertor from halfords, just a plug and play thing and worked fine, it was a jvc as well.
Any pics actually I could get the old haynes manual out and tell you what colour is what.

ok if you dont have a cig lighter, your gona have to find another live, go to your fuses and undo the 2 bolts that hold your fuses up, then using a multimeter find a ignition live then cut into that and run wire though to your cd player

The wiring for the cig lighter will be taped away somewhere in there, was on my 1.2 8v anyway.

dont worry its simple, you will need to borrow or buy a mulimeter like this
LINK
it tells you if there is power there in a wire.
all you need to do is find a wire near your fusebox that has power when you turn the key. ur then taking that power to your cd player.
a radio needs 2 powers, a perminant (that holds your stations) and an ignition (the one your taking from the fuse box) so when you turn the key sends power and turns on your radio

to get it from your fuse box you strip the wire back and use connect normal wire
run the wire over the steering wheel if you can, then round the back into where the radio goes.
cut the yellow wire and put your new power into that
EDIT check with the multimeter that its the one with no power that your cutting into first, its either red or yellow (this is on your radio wiring)

Thanks for your help.
What size wire would do?
The yello wire going into the back of the black block connected to the car?
Would this wire also do the fag lighter (she wants one fitting to as she can use tomtom)
Thanks for your time.

Awesome.
Sorry to be thick.
If i run the wire off the fuse box wire - across to the radio - i can split that down to do the radio AND the cig lighter.
Its not going to affect anything else stealing the fuse box power? Any one in particular to take it from? Wont it need a fuse?

your not thick, i just happen to do it everyday.
ye you can split it in 2 and since there is no fuse in your wiring, might be an idea to fit a fuse somewhere along the line.
not sure off the top of my head the best one but there is a group of wires to the left of the fuse box
