Car is a 96 P reg 1.2 8 valve engine X12E i believe, was running sweet as a nut and dead quiet for a car with 100,000 before it went it for some minor non engine work to be done, now it starts violently, vibrates badly, worse when heaters are on setting 4 and seems to kick out a lot of white exhaust, any clues as to the problem, have not yet had the chance to check water levels, (hope its not the head gasket), any help will be great

Will be a C12NZ.
Sounds like head gasket, any white gunge under the oil cap?
Also, check the water/oil levels as mentioned.
If it is the head gasket, dont worry, piss easy to work on the 1.2 8v's.
