Right im looking to buy a new car and the owner has said that when its started it a little tappy. Once it has warmed it absolutely fine. Is this anything to worry about. Im sure my sport used to do it but it stopped after a few seconds... Help please ASAP as could be picking the car up later.

Car is a gsi with a c16xe engine.

Problery fine, just do an oil change and it will problery go away. If not its eather the lifters are worn or the pump is on its last legs.

oooh gsi with c16xe

i want one as a runabout!!

my old one used to on startup mate but was then fine after few minutes.

as said though do an oil and filter change

Yep I think I will. Should I maybe use thicker oil? I know you can get addatives for the oil so may look into them. Must remember to keep my x16xe lower inlet tho, just incase

cant you fit mantzel onto c16?

you can but you need to use the x16xe lower inlet. Im probably going to go for a lexmaul. Soooo much easier and looks beter.

oil change use good quality oil and change oil filter it will be ok

mines tappy when i rev from 1000rpm 2 3000rpm sounds like its coming from the inlet ne idea's, i'll try and get a video of it,
