my car has just lost its power what could this be? the engine light is not on, it struggles to get past 35, my back box has came loose if this caused it? let me know cheers

possibly the airflow meter (AFM)
is is worst when the engine is cold? does the car kangaroo?

yes mate it kangaroos then some times it will pick up speed then drop again so is that what it is? cheers

it sounds like it could be
mine was exactly the same when the AFM died - and there was no engine management light on
I would recommend getting a replacement - even if it isnt knackered it probably will be soon, these engines love eating AFMs
Make sure you get a proper one though rather than a cheap copy

cats normally hide underneath cars for shelter. i doubt they mess around with your exhaust.lol.
does your problem happen all the time or just after you drive off with a cold engine? just out of curiosity (sp)

Sounds like AFM to me. Get it replaced

it turned out 2 be running on 2 pots not 3. so i just changed the spark pulgs it seems to be alot better but still a little jumpy should i still change the afm? cheers

Hmm... when my 12v was running on 2 due to a bust spark plug it sounded like a motorbike
