Have a nokia 6500s at the moment. Good internet browsing would be good and I text more than I ring. Dont know what to go for tho.

Screen isn't the biggest but it's not old.
Even if it was old, it's better built and has more in it than most new phones.

e71 is 12 months old, so its classed as an old phone, hence why the replacement is out in 4 weeks.
n96 is discontinued as it was a hunking pile of shit.
samsung jet, htc magic are good internet based phones from my experience.

Any new htc phone dream, magic or hero all really good phones. Iv got the g1 (dream) and its great for the internet plus full keyboard for easy typing.

I wouldn't buy a G1 now. There are no further updates for it!

There are (as far as I know) plus the software doesnt matter as much as the hardware with any htc as the software is changable at the min I have the hero rom and it runs fine got some good features on it. Only got the G1 because I got it the first week of release so there was no others out i prefer the keyboard even if I think the newer ones look slimmer and abit better.

Even if HTC stop giving out updates, xda forums will have them for a long time.
Rather have a magic anyway though.

Been on xda forums for years when I used to have my old windows phones great forum for any smart phone. I only like the dream because the keyboard really hate using toughscreen typing on any phone definatley the best phones out at the min (only other competitor is the iphone which I also love both, everything else just aint as good)

W995 - Got one last month pretty decent phone.
E71 I'm not a fan off have them at work and are a pain in the arse

Nokia 5800 has Wifi and a fairly good browser, as with other Nokia smartphones I expect you can download Opera browser for it if you want it. £20 for unlimited texts and 200 mins, spot on 2 years though
