I noticed this has taken a bit of a battering whilst I was under my car earlier. What is it?

Rear engine mount. Mine's fucked from where some tit jacked the car up off it. Yours doesn't look too bad tbh, mine's folded in on itself.

Awesome, cheers guys

The rubber on it is pretty shredded so thought I'd better find out what it is Guessed it might be something to do with engine mounts and things but wanted to check.

It turns out that this mount is loose and causing the engine/gearbox to twist under acceleration and braking making the car steer left quite hard.

er... i have the same problem with my car? thought it may have jus been the brakes?

is it easily fixed by yourself or...?
