Anyone certified in A+ and/or Server+?
Am thinking of being certified in these before doing a CCNA.

Did my A+ and Network + about 6 years ago, pretty easy and if your doing a CCNA I wouldn't bother.
There just not in the same league

The reason why I'm thinking of doing those in that particular order is that the two CompTIA courses are under £300 each (+ £200ish for 2x exams), whereas the CCNA will be at least £1k so I thought I could get a semi decent networking job with the CompTIA certifications under my belt and get a really well paid job after doing the CCNA (the CCNA being funded either by myself from my new job or by them if they want to pay it!).
Need to be on a decent wedge so I can start saving up to buy a house, get married, have brats etc. etc.

A+ means you can turn a computer one. I've not seen many jobs asking for it.
MCSE/MCITP are supposed to be good but I'm doubting that now I've got mine and there are no longer any jobs advertised requiring it.

I've seen plenty of jobs advertised that mention the Server+ as a requirement, and I read that you should do the A+ first before doing the Server+.
I don't really want to do anything Microsoft related, at least with the ones I've mentioned they are platform independant.
